Our Museum Board is a crucial part of our organization. The Board provides strategic direction, oversight and monitoring and evaluation of activities. Our volunteer Board  members donate valuable time and expertise to ensure that each artifact entrusted to us will be available for the public to enjoy now and in the future.

The Board applies its time to engage in planning and keeping the museum operable.  It develops and updates policies and procedures to preserve the local history of Montague The Beautiful and the surrounding Three River’s area. This includes overseeing acquisition and care of artifacts, exhibits and displays, as well as special events to educate the public and to celebrate our history. From fundraising to researching items that have been donated, every member plays a critical role in the Garden of the Gulf Museum organization.

Membership in the Board is a great way to give back to your local community and the Garden of the Gulf Museum Board is currently recruiting members for a minimum one-year term. If you are interested, or know someone who may be interested, in this volunteer opportunity, please contact us via telephone 902-838-2467 during peak season (July-September) or by e-mail during off-season (October-June) ggmusuem@eastlink.ca for more information.
