A Few of Our Present Exhibits
Military Coat

The Militia coat pre-dates 1799 and is one of our prized possessions in our Military Exhibit because of its excellent condition and historical roots. To be appreciated, it needs to be seen in person to observe the remarkable details, including the buttons and condition of the material.
Before the Ferry there was Ice Boats

The PEI to Nova Scotia ferry is a very familiar picture for residents and visitors alike, but have you ever wondered how people traveled to PEI before the ferry service or the Confederation Bridge? Especially in the winter? That’s where ice boats come into play and we have a wonderful history on these incredible durable boats, used as a means of travel to Prince Edward Island pre 1941
One Room School Display

Our one room school house exhibit has been a favorite for years at the Museum. It is enjoyed by everyone who sees it. Children love sitting at the desks and pretending they're in class.
Third Floor Apartment Display

When the building was built in 1888 there was an apartment on the third floor. After fifty plus years of being used as a storage room for our many artifacts we have now turned it back into what looks like an apartment. Two rooms filled with amazing artifacts gives you a real sense of how life would have been living there. One of our treasured donations is a five piece bedroom set that was a wedding gift in 1881. The View of the Montague River is amazing from those top windows.
